Haryana local body election begins in 40 bodies including 9 corporations

Voting continues in 40 bodies including 9 corporations in Haryana, EVMs malfunction in three districts

Rohtak, March 2 (HS): Voting for local body elections in Haryana is going on since 8 am on Sunday. So far there is no news of violence from anywhere in the state. However, voting has definitely been disrupted due to malfunctioning of EVMs at three places.

Union Minister Manohar Lal has voted in Karnal, Union Minister of State Krishna Pal Gurjar has voted in Faridabad. Most of the candidates contesting the election have also exercised their franchise.

Voting was disrupted for about an hour due to malfunctioning of EVM in Ward 5 of Gurugram. Voting was halted for an hour due to malfunctioning of EVM at Tawadu Nagar Palika election booth in Nuh.

Voting was disrupted for some time due to malfunctioning of EVM for mayor voting inside the booth set up in Bharatiya Kanya School in Ward 16 of Rohtak.
