the Secretariat on Thursday. The implementation of the Prime Minister’s
‘Ayushman Bharat Scheme’ in Delhi was discussed. After the meeting, the health
minister said that many schemes were discussed; in 100 days, a big change will
be seen in the health services in Delhi. He also said that he will not take
forward any health scheme of the Kejriwal government. He said that all their
schemes are corrupt.
The dentist-turned-politician,
Health Minister Pankaj Singh, said that about 20 percent of children in Delhi
are still not born in hospitals. They are born at home. This puts the lives of
both the mother and the child at risk. Keeping this in mind, a mother-child
centre will be opened in Delhi. Where women, newborn babies, and other people
will get great relief in treatment. The health minister said that 2500 Mohalla
clinics are on rent in Delhi. He claimed that most of the clinics will not run.
The rent agreement of all these will be terminated. The Delhi government will
open such clinics afresh so that people can get treatment.
The health minister said that
private hospitals in Delhi have to admit 10 percent of patients under the EWS
quota. Along with this, 25 percent (economically weaker section) of patients
from the EWS quota have to be seen in the OPD. This will be ensured in all
private hospitals of Delhi; nodal officers will be appointed. The nodal
officers will check the earnings of the hospitals that do not treat patients
under the EWS quota every three months. The health minister said that 10 mobile
dental vans will run in Delhi, which will go to different places in Delhi and
treat people. This will provide convenience to people in dental treatment.
People will not have to go to the hospital for dental treatment. Later, the
number of these vans can be increased.
