
Nagpur, 07 Apr (HS):-The Meteorological Department
has predicted a heat wave in the Vidarbha region during the next five days. Following
unseasonal rains, the temperature in the region started rising. Most of the towns
in the region are facing high temperatures of over 42 degree Celsius.
Akola was higher in the Vidarbha region, recording 44.4
degrees on Monday. This was followed by Brahmapuri at 43.8. The high
temperature is causing more problems because of humidity in the air. The night
temperature has also gone beyond 22 degrees Celsius in most of the towns.
The maximum temperatures recorded by the Met office
on Monday are – Akola – 43.2, Amravati – 43.6, Buldana – 40.4, Brahmapuri – 43.8,
Chandrapur – 43.6, Gadchiroli – 41.0, Gondia – 40.6, Nagpur – 42.4, Wardha –
42.0, and Yavatmal – 42.0.
