High-level security meeting at Prime Minister's residence, military chiefs and senior officials present

New Delhi, May 9 (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi convened a high-level security meeting at his residence on Friday, during which an in-depth review of the country’s security situation was conducted.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, and the chiefs of the Army, Navy, and Air Force were present at the meeting.

The meeting comes amid missile attacks from Pakistan and increasing gunfire along the Line of Control (LoC). The Prime Minister inquired about the preparations of the security forces and provided necessary strategic directives.

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently met with a delegation of retired armed forces personnel, which included several senior military veterans, including former chiefs of the Air Force, Army, and Navy.
