Hyderabad Police Debunks High-Alert Zone Rumors

Hyderabad, 27 April (H.S.): The Hyderabad police have debunked several social media posts on Sunday, April 27, claiming that Telangana has been declared a high alert zone after the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir. The fake message falsely listed 14 locations in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh as high-alert zones and claimed that special counter-terrorist operations were being carried out in these areas. The message also advised citizens to avoid visiting these locations, causing panic among the public.

However, the Hyderabad police have clarified that these claims are untrue and urged people not to believe or spread such rumours.

They have also verified the visas of Pakistani nationals in the city as a precautionary measure. It is essential for the public to rely on official sources for information and not fall prey to fake news on social media.
