
NEW DELHI, 12 March (H.S.) : The impact of rising temperatures has begun to manifest in
the Delhi-NCR region ahead of Holi. According to the India Meteorological
Department (IMD), Tuesday marked the hottest day of the season in Delhi, with a
maximum temperature reaching 34.8 degrees Celsius, exceeding the normal by 6.4
degrees. In comparison, the maximum temperature recorded on Sunday was 32.8
degrees Celsius. The temperature in Delhi continues to escalate steadily. On
Tuesday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported a minimum
temperature of 15.7 degrees Celsius. Pitampura experienced the highest
temperature of 19.6 degrees Celsius. Additionally, the humidity levels in the
air ranged from 92 to 29 percent on that day.
The IMD forecasts that Wednesday will experience partly
cloudy skies. Afternoon winds are anticipated to reach speeds of 20 to 30 kilometres
per hour. The maximum temperature for today is projected to be 33 degrees
Celsius, while the minimum is expected to be 18 degrees Celsius. Following
this, light rain accompanied by thundershowers is predicted from Thursday
through Saturday, with maximum temperatures ranging from 34 to 31 degrees
Celsius during this period. After the rainfall, a decrease in temperature is
expected in Delhi. Additionally, the air quality index in the city has fallen
into the poor category.
