
Delhi, 28 April (H.S.): The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning for heavy rainfall in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, and Tripura on April 28. A weather bulletin indicates light to moderate rainfall across Northeast India over the next 4 to 5 days, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds, with speeds reaching up to 40-50 kmph and gusting to 60 kmph.
Thundersqualls are also expected in Assam and Meghalaya on April 29. Heavy downpours are forecasted for Gangetic West Bengal on April 28, Jharkhand on April 29 and May 1, and Odisha until May 1, along with precipitation in Kerala until April 30.
Isolated light to moderate rainfall is predicted for areas including Karnataka and Tamil Nadu until May 4. Heat wave conditions are likely in Jammu-Kashmir, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan during various periods until May 1.
A yellow alert is in place for Delhi, expecting light rain and thunderstorms on April 29, with today’s maximum temperature around 42 degrees Celsius. Light rain may occur in Delhi from May 2.
