New Delhi, May 30 (H.S.): The Differently Abled Cricket Council of India (DCCI) has announced the Indian men’s mixed disability team for a seven-match T20 series in England from June to July 2025. The series kicks off on June 21 in Taunton and concludes with the seventh match on July 3 in Bristol. Ravindra Gopinath Shante will captain the team, recognized for his experience and leadership qualities. DCCI Secretary Ravi Kant Chauhan expressed optimism about the series, highlighting its potential to redefine possibilities in disability cricket, with hopes for support from the BCCI similar to that of the ECB towards its pan-disability team. Joint Secretary Abhay Pratap Singh emphasized the significance of this opportunity for disabled players to showcase their talent and promote inclusion and unity. Head coach Rohit Jhalani noted the team’s dedication and readiness for international competition.

In preparation, a training camp will be held in Jaipur from June 7 to 14 to enhance physical fitness, strategy, and teamwork. This series marks the historic international debut of India’s pan-disability cricket team, featuring players with various disabilities, reflecting the spirit of inclusive sports in India. Matches will coincide with key events in England’s cricket calendar to encourage participation, including a double header on July 1 in Bristol with the England Women vs. India Women match, which will be live on Sky Sports.
