India Gears Up for Mega Steel Summit as HD Kumaraswamy Unveils Official Logo

HD Kumaraswamy Unveils ‘Bharat Steel’ Logo, Launches India’s Biggest-Ever Steel Industry Showcase

New Delhi, August 13 (HS): Union Minister for Steel and Heavy Industries HD Kumaraswamy on Wednesday unveiled the official logo for the upcoming ‘Bharat Steel’ conference, setting the tone for what is being billed as India’s largest and most ambitious steel industry event. The launch ceremony at Vigyan Bhavan also saw the release of the event’s official brochure and website, marking a significant move in India’s bid to elevate its steel sector to global prominence.

Jointly envisioned as an international conference-cum-exhibition, Bharat Steel 2026 will be held on April 16–17, 2026, at New Delhi’s Bharat Mandapam. The event aims to position India as a world leader in steel manufacturing, green transformation, and investment opportunities.

According to the Ministry of Steel, the platform will bring together global industry leaders, top policymakers, technology innovators, and investors to showcase India’s advanced steelmaking capabilities, promote sustainable production practices, and explore growth avenues in both domestic and international markets.

Steel Secretary Sandeep Poundrik and other senior officials from the ministry were present at the launch, underscoring the government’s strategic focus on strengthening the steel ecosystem.

The two-day mega event will host thematic sessions, regional and national roundtables, CEO forums, technology showcases, buyer-seller meets, and participation from the primary and secondary steel sectors. Designed to be the largest steel expo ever held in India, Bharat Steel 2026 aspires to establish the country as a global hub for innovation, industry collaboration, and high-value investment in the steel space.
