Kathmandu, June 16 (H.S.): India and China have improved relations, allowing Indian citizens to travel to Kailash Mansarovar via Nepal. The Chinese government has granted permission, and Nepali tourism entrepreneurs are prepared for the influx. In 2020, access was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic and a clash between Indian and Chinese forces; however, after diplomatic discussions, the situation has normalized.

The Nepali Consular Department in Lhasa is awaiting a letter from the police service center for pilgrimage permission. Indian citizens may begin their journey next Monday, with a quota of 20,000 set for this year, according to Vinod Naharki, president of the Association of Kailash Tour Operators in Nepal.
