India's Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to be on two-day visit to Nepal on April 8

Kathmandu, April 7 (H.S.): India’s Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is set to arrive in Kathmandu on Tuesday for a two-day visit to Nepal. He is visiting Nepal to participate in the meeting of agricultural ministers from BIMSTEC countries, which begins tomorrow.

According to the BIMSTEC Secretariat, agriculture ministers from all member countries, including India, are arriving in Kathmandu. Bhutan’s Agriculture Minister has already arrived on Monday, while the arrival of ministers from other countries is ongoing. BIMSTEC Secretary-General Indra Mani Pandey reported that Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has confirmed his arrival in Kathmandu via a Nepal Airlines flight on Tuesday evening. He mentioned that Chouhan will head directly from the airport to the dinner hosted by Nepal’s Agriculture Minister.

Additionally, Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will have courtesy meetings with Nepalese President Ramchandra Paudel and Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli. There is also a program scheduled for Minister Chouhan to perform a special puja at the Pashupatinath Temple on Wednesday morning.
