India's Under-23 team lost 2-3 against Tajikistan in a friendly match

New Delhi, June 19 (HS): The Indian men’s U-23 team lost 2-3 to Tajikistan in an international friendly at TALCO Arena, Tursunzoda. India initially took the lead with Suhail Ahmed Bhat’s goal in the 34th minute, followed by an equalizer from Tajikistan’s Ansor Khabibov in the 60th minute. Parthib Gogoi restored India’s advantage in the 85th minute, but late goals from Muhammadiqbol Davlatov and Muhammadali Azizboev clinched victory for Tajikistan. India played with 10 men after Ayush Dev Chhetri received a red card before the first goal. These matches serve as preparation for the AFC U-23 Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers in September.
