New Delhi, April 29 (H.S.): The little star of Rajasthan Royals, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, shook up the IPL record books at just 14 years of age. Scoring a sensational 101 runs off 38 balls, he set multiple major records. Let’s take a look at this historic innings:

Century in 35 Balls: Fastest Among Indian Batsmen

Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored his century in just 35 balls, registering the second-fastest century in IPL history. Previously, only Chris Gayle (30 balls) accomplished this feat in 2013. Suryavanshi broke Yusuf Pathan’s record of 37 balls (2010) to create a new record for the fastest IPL century by an Indian.

11 Sixes: His name is now included among Indians who have hit the most sixes (11) in a single innings. Previously, Murali Vijay achieved this feat in 2010.

166 Runs Partnership: Along with Yashasvi Jaiswal, he added 166 runs for the first wicket, which became the largest partnership in Rajasthan Royals’ history.

Team Records Also Broken

Rajasthan Royals recorded their best powerplay score of 87 runs in the powerplay (6 overs).

Chasing a target of over 200 runs against Gujarat Titans with 25 balls remaining set the record for the largest margin of chase in IPL history for a target over 200.
