IPS officer Shobhit Saksena relieved from J&K, Rakesh Kumar given additional charge

Srinagar, Jan 23 (KINS): The Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday relieved Shobhit Saksena, IPS, from the Union Territory of J&K following his transfer to the Delhi segment.

According to Government Order No. 56-Home of 2026 dated January 23, issued by the Home Department, Shobhit Saksena, who was serving as SSP Security J&K, has been transferred by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. He was formally relieved from J&K on Friday afternoon.

Consequent upon his relieving, Rakesh Kumar, SSP and Staff Officer to the IGP Security, J&K, has been assigned the additional charge of SSP Security J&K, along with his existing duties, until further orders.

The order was issued with the approval of the competent authority and by the direction of the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir. The notification was signed by Principal Secretary to the Government, Home Department, Chandraker Bharti, IAS.(KINS)
