Tehran, 24 June (H.S.): Tehran experienced multiple explosions early Tuesday morning, coinciding with US President Donald Trump’s announcement of a staggered ceasefire between Iran and Israel aimed at concluding an escalating conflict with potential US involvement. Explosions were reported around 3:00 am, shortly before the ceasefire was supposed to take effect at 4:00 am. Despite ongoing battles between the nations for 12 days, Iranian officials initially stated there was no agreement on a truce.
However, Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi later suggested the truce had started. There has been no official confirmation from Israel about the ceasefire. Meanwhile, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards warned the US of severe repercussions for further aggression, with commander Mohammad Pakpour threatening more crushing and regrettable responses. Iran also urged residents of Ramat Gan to evacuate in anticipation of bombardment.
