Iranian missile hit Beersheba, damaging nearby residential areas.

Tel Aviv, June 20 (H.S.) : An Iranian ballistic missile struck Beersheba, Israel, on Friday, damaging residential areas and igniting vehicles but resulting in no casualties. Sirens sounded across Beersheba and nearby towns following the missile launch, confirmed by the Israeli military, which indicated interception efforts were in progress. This attack followed a recent missile strike on a major hospital and residential buildings in Tel Aviv, injuring 240 people. Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz attributed the violence to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei and stated military actions were necessary.

In retaliation, Israel targeted Iran’s Arak heavy water reactor, which was reportedly evacuated without radiation risk. Diplomatic talks are ongoing, with British Foreign Secretary David Lammy warning of a two-week crisis window. Meanwhile, Israeli airstrikes have extended into Iran, notably targeting the city of Rasht, amidst a significant internet blackout in Iran.
