New Delhi, March 12 (H.S.): Cricket Ireland announced on Tuesday (March 11) that the West Indies, England, Zimbabwe women’s team, and Pakistan women’s team will tour Ireland this summer. Additionally, the Ireland women’s team will compete against Pakistan, West Indies, Bangladesh, Thailand, and Scotland in the ODI World Cup qualifiers scheduled to take place in Pakistan from April 4 to April 19 next month.

After that, the Ireland men’s team will play three ODI matches against the West Indies, which will be held at Clonetarff from May 21 to May 25. Subsequently, a three-match T20 international series will be played at Clonetarff from June 12 to June 15.
Following this, the European T20 Premier League will take place in Ireland between July and August, from July 15 to August 18, with participation from Irish players. During the same period, five T20 international matches will be played against the Zimbabwe women’s team at Pembroke and Stormont from July 20 to July 28. After that, there will be a series of three T20 matches against the Pakistan women’s team at Stormont from August 7 to August 11.
In September, England will play a bilateral T20 international series against Ireland for the first time, which will take place from September 17 to September 21 in Malahide.
However, amid this busy schedule, Cricket Ireland also made it clear that the home series against Afghanistan will no longer take place. This series was supposed to be held as a multi-format series this year but has been canceled. Although there is increasing pressure on the ICC to take action regarding Afghanistan, Cricket Ireland clarified that the decision was made solely for financial reasons.
Cricket Ireland CEO Warren Deutrom said, We always say that if it’s the summer season, there will definitely be cricket. This time, Irish fans will get to see some of the best cricketers in the world playing in their country. The men’s team will host West Indies and England, while the Pakistan and Zimbabwe women’s teams will also tour Ireland.
