Israeli Delegation to Depart for Egypt Monday for Gaza Ceasefire Talks

Jerusalem, October 6(HS): The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed Sunday that an Israeli delegation will depart for Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, on Monday to participate in crucial ceasefire negotiations aimed at ending the Gaza conflict.

According to official sources, Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer will lead the delegation, which will engage in discussions alongside senior representatives from Hamas and the United States. The high-level talks are being convened to finalize U.S. President Donald Trump’s 20-point ceasefire proposal.

The comprehensive plan seeks agreement on several key points — including an immediate cessation of hostilities in Gaza, restoration of humanitarian aid, and the release of Israeli hostages.Diplomatic observers have described the Sharm El-Sheikh negotiations as one of the most significant peace efforts undertaken so far to bring an end to the prolonged Israel-Hamas conflict and to pave the way for broader stability in the region.
