Jayanagar Traders Association Bengaluru , the nodal body of retailers and traders has been serving the cause of not only the traders but also the residents of Bangalore South .

The Association started decades ago to cater to the needs of offering better service to all the stake holders.

It needed one perfect platform to integrate people. Vendors in this huge, highly appreciated shopping complex belong to different castes, creed and socio economic class. It is a mix of retailers, branded apparels, house hold items, clothing, ready made garments, utensils Kitchen equipments and bespoke tailoring.

Since the shopping complex was a massive succes it was imperative that we had to come together as one to form an association. That marked the birth of Jayanagar Traders Association, said Subramanya , a resident of Jayanagar and member of JTA…

…I am the second generation business man from the family. Since I was brought up in Jayanagar I was aware of the growing needs of the residents. I was also aware of the culture of people and had a keen eye on the customer service…

…It was good opportunity to make friends with fellow retailers and fight our cause. Our goal was to provide hassle free shopping experience to our customers. Jayanagar has been a classy residential area majority of them belonging to middle class families. They need to be respected and treated well…

…All of us at the Traders Association were aware of it and were successful in enforcement of the same…

…Our association has been active in celebration of festivals like Gowri Ganesha with pomp and show…

…The music festivals that we hosted was a huge attraction. It gave glimpse of the rich culture of Kannada to young generation. In one go it was an act of national integration. It was an act of national integration because we had no boundaries regarding our caste, religion and creed. Every one was a part of the celebrations…

…Our Rajyotsava celebrations were massive in size and entertainment. Orchestra troupes enthralled the crowds and many of the singers made it big in their careers later on…

…Over the years each stake holder grew in size and started to expand business. In a way we could bring in a different culture in our business transactions with residents of Jayanagar…

…Many of the customers have turned out to be our family friends over the years. What’s heartening is the second generation of the customers have become our customers too. Even more gratifying is the fact that through word of mouth of these loyal customers, our business has grown in good measure…

…Yes we have made good progress in our socio economic development but we also have the satisfaction of serving our land in our own special way…

…In business profits and losses are important. But in our case it is much beyond the commerce.

We have successfully built a trader community for the residents community who visit our establishments…

Despite the massive crowds, new order, chaotic traffic, the old charm of Jayanagar Shopping Complex and the Jayanagar Traders Association continue to enthrall residents of Bangalore South.
