Agra,
23 April (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath welcomed US Vice
President JD Vance, his wife and children at the Agra Air Force Station by
offering them a bouquet of flowers. US Vice President JD Vance looked very
happy with the warm welcome accorded by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
On
Wednesday, around 10 am, US Vice President JD Vance arrived at Agra Air Force
Station with his family in Air Force Two aircraft. Chief Minister Yogi
Adityanath welcomed him. Peacock dance and other cultural programs were
presented at the airport to welcome US Vice President JD Vance. US Vice
President JD Vance left for Taj Mahal in a Beast car with his family. The main
route from the airport to Taj Mahal was beautifully decorated. School children
were also present on the route to welcome JD Vance.
JD
Vance and his family arrived in Agra on Wednesday to see the Taj Mahal, which
is one of the world’s seven wonders.
They will return to Jaipur later in the day and depart India on Thursday
morning. On the third day of their tour
to India, United States Vice President JD Vance, his wife Usha Vance, and their
three children visited Agra’s Taj Mahal.
The Vance family may be seen in photos standing in front of the monument
and walking around it. Several posters
have been up throughout Agra to welcome JD Vance. When the US Vice President arrived in Agra,
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath greeted him, his wife Usha Vance,
and their three children.
The
UP government has conducted a tremendous exercise to create a ‘lively picture’
of Agra before US Vice President JD Vance’s visit here on Wednesday, in order
to remove the Taj Mahal’s ‘ghost city’ nickname bestowed upon it by former US
President Bill Clinton in 2000.
During Clinton’s visit, the streets and the
major Mall road were blocked and sanitised, and he couldn’t find any locals
(apart from those in charge of preparations and security) on his journey to the
Taj Mahal. However, this time, the administration
had lined up 1200 students and folk performers along the stretch between the
airport and Shilpgram to greet the VVIP under heavy security.
