

Washington, February 9 (HS): US President Donald Trump has revoked the security clearance of former Secretary of State Antony Blinken and former National Security Advisor Jack Sullivan after his predecessor Joe Biden. Earlier, Trump, adopting a tit for tat policy, revoked former President Joe Biden’s security clearance and access to daily intelligence briefings. Giving information about these decisions, Trump wrote on the social platform Truth – Joe you’re fired.
US President Trump has also revoked the security clearance of former Secretary of State Antony Blinken and former National Security Advisor Jack Sullivan, who were important aides of his team, after Joe Biden. While revoking Biden’s security clearance and his access to daily intelligence briefings, Trump had said that his predecessor had done the same to him four years ago. He wrote- Biden ‘set this precedent in 2021 when he directed the Intelligence Community (IC) to prevent the 45th President of the United States (me) from accessing national security details, which is a courtesy given to former presidents.’ Trump wrote in a post on the social platform Truth, There is no need for Joe Biden to continue to have access to classified information. Joe, you are fired.
Security clearance of more than four dozen former officials already revoked
Trump has already revoked the security clearance of more than four dozen former intelligence officials, whom he accused of interfering in the 2020 election in favor of Biden.
Biden did the same with Trump too
In the year 2021, Biden barred Trump from receiving classified intelligence briefings. This was the first time a former president was denied such information, which is traditionally given as a courtesy. Biden justified his move by saying that Trump cannot be trusted because his behavior is ‘unstable’.
