Munich,September 14(HS):
Harry Kane struck twice as Bayern Munich dismantled long-time rivals Hamburg with a commanding 5-0 victory at the Allianz Arena on Saturday, extending their perfect Bundesliga start.
The England captain netted in both halves, raising his tally to 93 goals in just 101 Bayern appearances. Serge Gnabry, Luis Diaz, and 20-year-old Aleksandar Pavlovic were also on target in the emphatic win.
Bayern showcased their dominance early, with Gnabry smashing home in the third minute before academy product Pavlovic doubled the lead six minutes later. Kane converted a penalty midway through the first half, followed swiftly by Diaz’s strike — the Colombian’s fourth since arriving this summer. Kane then capped the rout in the 62nd minute, finishing a move he initiated.
Hamburg’s struggles in Munich continued, with their last win in the Bavarian capital dating back to 2007. In the 19 meetings since, Bayern have recorded 16 victories and scored an astonishing 76 goals against their traditional rivals.
The victory lifted Bayern to the top of the Bundesliga table with three wins from three as they turned their attention to the midweek Champions League clash at home against Chelsea.
