Khelo India Winter Games 2025: Army's Dominance on First Day, Secures 7 Medals

Gulmarg (J&K), March 9 (HS): The second phase of the Khelo India Winter Games 2025 commenced with the Indian Army’s impressive performance, earning 7 medals (2 gold, 2 silver, 3 bronze) on the first day.

Himachal Pradesh earned 1 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze, while Jammu and Kashmir, the host state, secured 1 gold and 1 silver.

The Army dominated the men’s 10 km Nordic skiing event, claiming all medals with Sunny Singh taking gold, Manjeet silver, and Raj Deen bronze.In women’s 5 km, Karnataka’s Bhavani Thekkada won gold. The Army also excelled in Ski Mountaineering, with Rajeshwar Singh winning gold in the men’s sprint event.
