King Charles Praises Yoga’s Power To Heal At London Yoga Day Event

Yoga Day 2025 celebrations in London

Delhi, 21 June (H.S.): Hundreds gathered in an iconic London square for expert-led yoga sessions to celebrate the International Day of Yoga (IDY), organized by the High Commission of India. The event, marking its 10th anniversary, was inaugurated by Indian High Commissioner Vikram Doraiswami, who shared a special message from King Charles III emphasizing unity and well-being under the theme Yoga for One Earth, One Health.

The celebration featured a musical performance titled ‘Drums of India’ by Bhavan UK and included a series of Yoga practices such as Surya Namaskar and Iyengar Yoga. Experts from Heartfulness UK, Art of Living, and Isha Foundation guided attendees through breathing techniques and mindfulness exercises. The event culminated in ‘Samagam,’ a harmonious performance combining Yoga and dance. The International Day of Yoga is observed globally on June 21, with the Indian High Commission in London hosting a major public event each year.
