Imphal, 6 April (HS): The operation being carried out by the security forces in Manipur is getting huge success. Manipur Police said on Sunday that one carbine Sten gun (with magazine), four 9 mm pistols (with magazine), one .22 rifle (with magazine), three 12 bore single barrel guns, two 36 hand grenades (with detonator), three 7.62 mm AK-47 live cartridges, five 9 mm live cartridges, three .32 live cartridges, one 12 bore barrel live cartridge, two 5.56 mm INSAS magazines, one tube launcher, three tear smoke shell soft nose (SR), two tear smoke shell soft nose (LR), two tear smoke shells, one stun shell (anti-riot), another tear smoke shell, one wireless radio set were recovered from Keirao Wangkhem village of Andhro police station area.

In another operation, three double barrel guns (DDBL), one country made single barrel gun (SBBL), one other SBBL gun, five 12 bore live cartridges, four camouflage bulletproof jackets/vests (without plates), two Baofeng handsets (without antenna), one TYT handset (without antenna), two TYT handset chargers were recovered from Kamranga area of Jiribam district.

The security forces carried out this operation with the aim of maintaining peace in the area and controlling the activities of anti-social elements.————-
