Imphal, 25 April (HS): Security forces are getting huge success in the operation being conducted in Manipur. A large quantity of weapons and explosives were recovered during the operation.

According to the information given by Manipur Police on Friday, security forces conducted a search operation in the foothills of the western part of Langol Hill Range under Lamfel police station area of Imphal West district.

During the operation, 01 US made 9 mm pistol with magazine, 10 rounds of 9 mm pistol ammunition, 01 wireless set with adapter and charger, 01 torch without battery, 12 knives, 01 pair of shoes, 01 BP jacket without plate, 01 sleeping bag and 01 camouflage T-shirt were recovered.

In another search operation, security forces recovered a large quantity of weapons and explosives from Tenjang village under Churachandpur police station in Churachandpur district.

During this, 01 Carbine Machine Gun, 01 Desi Single Barrel Rifle, 01 Rocket Launcher (5 feet), 01 Desi Mortar, 01 Pumpi, 01 Carbine Magazine, 10 Rounds 9mm Live Ammunition, 10 Mortar Bombs, 01 Pumpi Shell, 01 HE Bomb, 02 No. 36 Hand Grenades, 12 AK-47 Empty Shells and 01 Anti-Riot Dye Marker Grenade were recovered.

All the recovered material has been seized and further investigation has been started.
