Jammu, Jan 23 (KINS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday attended the Silver Jubilee celebrations of Shri Baba Kashi Vishwanath Seva Samiti at Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, lauding the organisation’s 25-year-long commitment to selfless service and compassion.
Addressing the gathering, the Lieutenant Governor said that true devotion is reflected through service to humanity. “True faith lives in selfless service; real devotion is found in compassion,” he remarked.
He said the Samiti has successfully bridged faith with action by serving pilgrims at the Chandanwari Base Camp during the annual Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, setting a powerful example of dedication and social responsibility. “For 25 years, Shri Baba Kashi Vishwanath Seva Samiti has embodied the principle that true faith manifests through selfless service,” he said.
The Lieutenant Governor observed that in today’s times, spiritual consciousness plays a vital role in nurturing compassion and empathy in society. He noted that spiritual prosperity helps create value-based citizens, which in turn strengthens the foundations of a resilient nation.
“Serving the devotees of Baba Barfani at high altitudes, amid harsh weather and physical hardships, is not just organisational work but a spiritual discipline. The volunteers at Chandanwari are breaking barriers and building human connections rooted in compassion,” he said, adding that every act of selfless help reinforces the spiritual fabric of the nation.
Congratulating the President of the Samiti, Shri Dilip Singh, along with all office bearers and volunteers, the Lieutenant Governor appreciated their efforts in making service a way of life.
Calling for collective responsibility, he said, “Let us commit ourselves to weaving service into the fabric of our daily lives, translating our spiritual beliefs into meaningful action, and working together to build a society founded on kindness, mutual support, and peaceful coexistence.”(KINS)
