Maha Kumbh not just festival, but continuous practice of Sanatan culture: Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal

Ex-CM Uttarakhand takes holy dip in Sangam

Prayagraj,

02 March (HS): Former Chief Minister of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, Dr. Ramesh

Pokhriyal Nishank, on Sunday, along with his family, took a holy dip in the sacred

Triveni Sangam of holy stream Bhagwati Maa Ganga, Maa Yamuna and invisible

Saraswati and visited the magnificent Sangam. On his arrival at the holy place

of prayer, the holy place of chanting, penance and meditation, Uttar Pradesh

Government’s Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi warmly

welcomed and greeted former Chief Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on

behalf of Uttar Pradesh Government.

After bathing and worshipping, the former Chief Minister expressed his feelings

on social media and wrote that when I stood on the holy Sangam bank of

Teerthraj Prayagraj, I felt as if time had stopped. Here the waves of Ganga

were telling the history of centuries, the streams of Yamuna were giving the

message of devotion, and the flow of invisible Saraswati was spreading the

light of knowledge. I got the good fortune of taking a dip of faith with my

family in this divine stream. It was not just a dip, but a profound dialogue of

the soul with religion, faith and eternal traditions. As soon as the cool

streams of Maa Ganga touched me, my mind became pure and a wonderful peace

spread within me.

The holy waves of Sangam were a witness that Maha Kumbh is not just a festival,

but an unbroken sadhana of Sanatan culture. Where faith remains immortal, traditions

flow for ages, and sadhana paves the way to reach the peak of salvation.
