
Mumbai, 18 Apr (HS): Bharatiya Janata Party, Maharashtra unit has achieved
a record of enrolling over 1.5 crore primary members and more than 1.34 lakh
active members. The information was shared by the party’s National General
Secretary Arun Sinh in a press conference on Friday in Mumbai.
Arun Sinh said 70 percent of the booth committees have
been formed so far. The party targets the constitution of one lakh booth committees
by April 22. BJP will have 12 lakh active members, 12 from each booth committee,
under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Maharashtra Chief
Minister Devendra Fadnavis, to work for development of the nation and
Maharashtra. Internal democracy, collective decision-making, and communication are the important
features of the organisation.
BJP’s Regional Unit Working President Ravindra
Chavan said, the workers enrolled members through door-to-door visits since January
2025. Out of the target of making three lakh active members, the party has
achieved 1.40 lakh. Elections for the presidents of 1196 Mandals (Units) in the
region will be held on April 20,
following which the procedure for electing district unit presidents will begin from
April 22.
Regional Unit General Secretary Vikrant Patil,
Madhavi Naik, Rajesh Pande, Headquarter Incharge Ravindra Anaspure, Media Chief
Navnath Ban, and Spokesperson Omprakash Chavan were present.
