Mumbai, April 27 (HS): Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced on Sunday in Pune that 5023 Pakistani citizens residing in Maharashtra will be expelled by tonight. The expulsion process is underway at a fast pace, with these individuals located across 48 cities. Nagpur has the highest count at 2,458, followed by Thane with 1,106, and 14 in Mumbai.
Only 51 of them have valid documents, while 107 are reported missing, with police unable to trace them.
However, Fadnavis refuted this claim, encouraging people not to spread misinformation, asserting that all Pakistani citizens have been located and arrangements for their expulsion are in place. He assured that none will remain in the state beyond tonight or tomorrow.
