
NEW DELHI, 8 March (H.S.): The Mahila Samridhi Yojana, which has been launched in
Delhi, will provide women classified as below the poverty line (BPL) with monthly
financial assistance of 2,500 rupees. Approval was granted for the
implementation of this scheme during the cabinet meeting convened at the
secretariat, presided over by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. The cabinet has
allocated an initial budget of Rs 5100 crore for this initiative.
In celebration of International Women’s Day, the Delhi BJP
government unveiled the Mahila Samridhi Yojana on Saturday. This initiative
will provide financial assistance of Rs 2500 per month to underprivileged women
in Delhi. The verification of beneficiaries will be conducted through E-KYC. It
is anticipated that every eligible woman will receive this monthly support,
empowering them towards financial independence. This initiative represents not
merely financial aid, but a pledge to fulfill Prime Minister Modi’s commitment.
