New Delhi, September 6(HS): Mahindra & Mahindra Limited (M&M) has reduced the prices of its passenger vehicles by up to Rs 1.56 lakh to pass on the benefits of the recent Goods and Services Tax (GST) rate cut to its customers. The revised prices took immediate effect from Saturday, September 6, 2025. This move follows the GST Council’s announcement of rationalized GST rates on automobiles.

In an official statement, Mahindra & Mahindra detailed that the price cuts are effective across the entire internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle portfolio and will be updated transparently across dealerships and digital platforms starting September 6. Specific reductions include Rs 1.27 lakh on the Bolero/Neo range, Rs 1.40 lakh on the petrol XUV3XO, Rs 1.56 lakh on the diesel XUV3XO, Rs 1.35 lakh on the Thar 2WD diesel variant, Rs 1.01 lakh each on the Thar 4WD diesel and Scorpio Classic, Rs 1.45 lakh on the Scorpio-N, Rs 1.33 lakh on the Thar Roxx, and Rs 1.43 lakh on the XUV700.

Prior to Mahindra’s announcement, Tata Motors and Renault India had also declared vehicle price cuts in response to the GST rate rationalization but planned to implement the new prices from September 22, coinciding with the Navratri festivities. Meanwhile, Maruti Suzuki has indicated potential upcoming price reductions.

These GST adjustments are set to make vehicles more affordable, catalyzing increased demand in the automotive sector during the festive season and beyond. Mahindra & Mahindra’s swift implementation of price cuts underscores its customer-centric approach in delivering GST benefits promptly.
