NEW DELHI, 13 March (H.S.) : A significant fire erupted in a factory warehouse situated
in Okhla Phase-1, Delhi, on Thursday afternoon. Reports indicate that this
incident occurred on March 13, 2025, at approximately 2:48 PM. Upon
notification of the blaze, 24 fire brigade vehicles were dispatched to the
scene. Firefighters are currently engaged in efforts to control and extinguish
the flames. The cause of the fire remains undetermined at this time.
The factory is located at C-112, in proximity to Balaji
Dharm Kanta, Okhla Phase-1. In response to the incident, personnel from the
fire brigade and the Delhi Police are collaborating to manage the situation.
Despite several hours of dedicated efforts, the fire remains only partially
contained. Firefighters are persistently working to extinguish the flames;
however, the intensity of the blaze has hindered their success thus far. The
severity of the fire has necessitated the continuous arrival of fire tenders to
the scene.
The authorities have reported that there is currently no
information regarding any casualties from this incident; however, an assessment
of the damage is underway. Firefighters are fully prepared and actively engaged
in managing the situation. Reports indicate that strong winds are causing the
fire to spread quickly, making it challenging for the firefighters to
extinguish the flames. The intensity of the fire at the factory is so severe
that it may also endanger adjacent facilities.
