
New Delhi, February 12 (HS): Mixed signals are being received from the global market today. The US market closed with mixed trading during the last session. Dow Jones futures are also seen trading flat with slight fluctuations today. However, the European markets generally had a buying environment during the last session. On the other hand, mixed trading is being seen in the Asian markets today.
The US market saw mixed trading during the last session. Dow Jones managed to close with a gain of 123 points. Similarly, the S&P 500 index ended the last session’s trading at 6,068.50 points with a symbolic gain of 0.03 percent. In contrast, the Nasdaq closed at 19,642.78 points with a loss of 0.36 percent. Dow Jones Futures is currently trading at 44,589.64 points with a symbolic decline of 0.01 percent today.
Buying continued in European markets during the last session. The FTSE index closed at 8,777.39 points with a gain of 0.11 percent. Similarly, the CAC index ended the last session’s trading at 8,028.90 points with a gain of 0.28 percent. Apart from this, the DAX index jumped 126.09 points or 0.57 percent to close at 22,037.83 points.
Mixed trading is taking place in Asian markets today. Out of 9 Asian markets, the indices of 4 are trading in the green with gains, while 4 indices are in the red with decline. Due to holiday in Thailand’s Stock Exchange, there is no movement in the SET Composite Index today.
GIFT Nifty is currently trading at 23,002.50 points with a weakness of 125 points i.e. 0.54 percent. Similarly, the Straits Times Index has slipped 0.07 percent to reach 3858 points. Apart from this, Taiwan Weighted Index has fallen 0.04 percent to 23,374.91 points and Shanghai Composite Index is trading at 3,317.83 points with a slight decline of 0.01 percent. On the other hand, Nikkei Index has reached 38,874.81 points with a gain of 0.19 percent. Similarly, Kospi Index is trading at 2,545.23 points with a gain of 0.24 percent. Hang Seng Index has registered strong strength today. Currently, this index has jumped 327.15 points or 1.54 percent to reach the level of 21,622.01 points. Apart from this, the Jakarta Composite Index has reached the level of 6,578.55 points with a gain of 0.71 percent.
