New Delhi, 05 February (HS): Mixed signals are coming from the global market today. US markets closed after trading strongly during the last session. However, Dow Jones futures are seen trading with a decline today. European markets closed with mixed results in the last session. Mixed trading is also seen in Asian markets today.
There was an atmosphere of enthusiasm in the US market during the last session, due to which the Wall Street indices were successful in closing strongly. Dow Jones closed at 44,556.04 points with a gain of 134.15 points i.e. 0.30 percent. Similarly, the S&P 500 index ended the last session’s trading at 6,039.79 points with a gain of 0.75 percent. Apart from this, Nasdaq closed at 19,657.59 points with a gain of 265.64 points i.e. 1.37 percent. However, Dow Jones Futures is currently seen trading at 44,497.59 points with a weakness of 0.13 percent today.
European markets fluctuated during the last session. After trading for the entire session, the markets here closed with mixed results. The FTSE index closed at 8,570.77 points with a weakness of 0.15 percent. On the contrary, the CAC index ended the last session’s trading at 7,906.40 points with a gain of 0.65 percent. Apart from this, the DAX index closed at 21,505.70 points with a gain of 0.36 percent.
Mixed trading is seen in Asian markets today. Out of 9 Asian markets, 6 indices are trading in red with a fall, while 3 indices are in green with a rise. GIFT Nifty is trading at 23,841 points with a gain of 0.29 percent. Taiwan Weighted Index has made a strong jump today. Currently, this index has jumped 407.70 points i.e. 1.79 percent to reach the level of 23,201.66 points. Similarly, Kospi Index is trading at 2,511.91 points with a gain of 1.22 percent. On the other hand, Nikkei Index is trading at 38,749.06 points with a weakness of 0.13 percent. Similarly, Straits Times Index has fallen 0.11 percent to reach the level of 3,818.95 points. Apart from this, Hang Seng Index is trading at 20,639.44 points with a fall of 150.52 points i.e. 0.72 percent, Jakarta Composite Index is trading at 7,035.19 points with a fall of 0.54 percent, Shanghai Composite Index is trading at 3,238.85 points with a fall of 0.36 percent and SET Composite Index is trading at 1,300.69 points with a symbolic weakness of 0.03 percent.
