
New Delhi, March 13 (HS) : Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah highlighted India’s significant infrastructure advancements under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, including the world’s second largest road network and the third largest metro rail network.
During a video conference from Ahmedabad, Shah announced various development projects worth Rs 146 crore, including a railway overbridge, a 4-lane bridge over the Narmada Canal, and a flyover bridge on the SG Highway. He emphasized that these initiatives will enhance local commutes, bolster employment, and improve connectivity in Gujarat’s Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency.
Amit Shah announced that the Government of India will build a 500-bed ultra-modern hospital in Sanand, which will operate 24/7 for residents of Sanand and Bavla taluka, along with a 300-bed government hospital in Kalol taluka. This initiative aims to provide advanced healthcare facilities nearby.
Under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, Gujarat is advancing rapidly, with projects like the world’s largest green energy park in Kutch and major infrastructure developments, including the Ahmedabad-Mumbai bullet train and GIFT City. The national highway network has expanded by 60% in the last decade, with significant growth in highway construction and airports.
