New Delhi, September 4 (HS): Mother Dairy has welcomed the government’s decision to reduce GST rates on a broad range of dairy products and assured consumers that these benefits will be fully passed on. Manish Bandlish, Managing Director of Mother Dairy, said the significant tax cuts on items including paneer, cheese, ghee, butter, UHT milk, milk-based beverages, and ice cream will enhance affordability and accessibility across the country.

Bandlish emphasized that the GST rate reduction would especially boost demand for packaged, value-added dairy products, which are becoming increasingly popular in Indian households. He added that this progressive reform would encourage wider adoption of safe and quality dairy offerings, helping more families enjoy nutritious products at better prices.

The MD also noted that the cut will strengthen market opportunities for farmers and invigorate the dairy industry, which recorded a turnover of Rs 17,500 crore in the financial year 2024-25.
