15 March (HS): Superintendent of Police Dhawal Jaiswal on Saturday disclosed
the murder of an elderly man in the Hathgam police station area of the
district. He told that on March 11, Rambaran Singh (50) was murdered by cutting
with a sharp weapon in Iradatpur Dhami village. The police station registered a
case and sent it to the Circle Officer Police teams were deployed under the
leadership of Thariyanv to arrest the murderers.

said that police teams arrested Shivbaran Singh, younger brother of the
deceased, resident of Iradatpur Dhami village of Hathgam area and Lal Singh,
resident of Balramdas Ka Purwa village of Khaga Kotwali area, involved in the
murder incident. On their information, the murder weapon axe, two mobiles, bag
with clothes and Rs 480 were recovered.
Cash
has been recovered: He told that during interrogation, Shivbaran, brother of
the accused, told that the deceased Rambaran was unmarried. He used to eat food
at the neighbor’s house in the village. He suspected that the deceased might
transfer his property to the neighbor. Due to this, he, along with his relative
Lal Singh, killed him by hitting him on the head with an axe while he was going
to sleep near the tubewell. After the incident, the body was dragged and hidden
near the tubewell.
