
New Delhi, March 13 (H.S.): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has achieved a decisive victory in the 2025 general elections for the Chakma Autonomous District Council (CADC). Expressing happiness over this victory on Thursday, BJP National President J.P. Nadda expressed gratitude to the people of Mizoram. In a reaction on X (formerly Twitter), Nadda stated that this resounding mandate is a testament to the trust the people have in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision and commitment to development.
He said, I congratulate and appreciate the BJP workers in Mizoram for their tireless dedication and hard work in achieving this victory.
For the 2025 General Elections to the Chakma Autonomous District Council (CADC), there are a total of 88 village councils. Out of the total seats, the BJP won 64, MNF 8, ZPM 12, IND 2, with two seats being tied, and Congress did not win a single seat. In the total count of seats, the BJP got 364 seats, ZPM received 83 seats, MNF got 46 seats, IND got 21 seats, and Congress received two seats.
Voting for the general elections of the Chakma Autonomous District Council (CADC) took place on March 12, and the counting of votes began after the voting.
