Nagpur, 12 Apr

(HS): The death toll in the MMP Aluminium Industry explosion and fire has risen

to five on Saturday. The two critically injured workers died in the hospital,

while three other workers were found dead in the factory premises after the

fire was doused.

The blast

occurred at the MMP Aluminium Industry in Umrer MIDC in Nagpur district around

7 pm on Friday. Seven workers were immediately rushed to a hospital for

treatment. Two of them, who were critical on Friday, succumbed

to the burn injuries on Saturday. The deceased workers, all in the age group of

20 to 25 years, were residents of Nagpur district.
