Newborn’s body found in toilet at SKIMS, Soura

Srinagar, Dec 6 (KINS): A newborn male’s body was found inside a toilet at the maternity hospital of Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura, on Saturday, triggering shock and concern.

Hospital authorities told news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS) they are fully cooperating with the investigation. CCTV footage from the hospitaland relevant hospital records are being scrutinised to establish the sequence of events that led to the tragic incident.

Police have taken cognisance of the matter and initiated a detailed inquiry. Further details are awaited as the investigation progresses. (KINS)
