NIA arrests 4 suspects from Chhattisgarh's Kanker district

Kanker, March 06 (HS): On Thursday, the NIA team arrested four suspects from the Naxal-affected Amabeda police station area of ​​​​Kanker district of Chhattisgarh on charges of having links with Naxalites in the case related to the murder of Army Jawan Motiram Achala. The NIA team is interrogating them.

Earlier also, the NIA team had raided the Amabeda area twice and detained some people in this case. So far 11 people have been arrested. Kanker SP IK Elsela confirmed the arrest of 4 suspects by the NIA team from Amabeda police station area and said that the NIA will give detailed information through a press note.

Last month in February 2025, Anish Khan from Amabeda, Mahavir alias Raghuveer Jain from Kalmuche and a suspect from Useli were arrested. The NIA investigation has revealed that Anish Khan alias Annu Khan alias Ajju Khan, Anil Kumar Netam, Jaisingh Hidko and Raghuveer were involved in providing shelter and assistance to the members of the Naxalite organization for a long time. On February 28, the NIA arrested Raghu Midiyami, the head of the Moolvasi Bachao Manch, in a major action in the Chhattisgarh Naxal funding case. Earlier in November 2023, the police had arrested two people in the same case, from whom Rs 6 lakh in cash was recovered. Investigation revealed that both of them were overground workers of the Moolvasi Bachao Manch, who were raising and distributing funds for the Naxalites.
