NIELIT signs MoUs with 8 Visionary Organizations to Propel Digital India Initiatives

MoU signed with SCL Mohali, ERNET India, AMRITA University, NISE, Heartfulness Institute, Kyndryl India, Skyroot Aerospace & IFMR

Delhi, 27 April (H.S.): On April 25, the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with eight esteemed organizations, including Semi-Conductor Laboratory (SCL), ERNET India, National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, SKYROOT Aerospace, Institute for Financial Management and Research (IFMR), and Kyndryl India. This event, held at Electronics Niketan, New Delhi, was attended by S. Krishnan, Secretary of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), symbolizing a significant enhancement of India’s digital ecosystem.

These strategic collaborations aim to bolster education, skilling, research, and innovation in Electronics and Information Technology. Initiatives will encompass joint research, curriculum development, capacity-building, training, and support for emerging technologies S. Krishnan emphasized the importance of these partnerships in creating a robust digital environment and cultivating a skilled workforce necessary for a digitally empowered society. He commended Dr. M. M. Tripathi, DG of NIELIT, and the team for their efforts in aligning industry needs with academic outcomes through quality education and skilling initiatives.

The event also featured several distinguished dignitaries, highlighting the collaborative spirit between academia, industry, and government organizations. NIELIT, an autonomous body under MeitY, is dedicated to fostering education, training, and research in IT and emerging sectors. It manages 56 centers, over 700 Accredited Training Partners, and around 9,000 facilitation centers nationwide, thus playing a crucial role in developing a skilled workforce for the digital economy and serving as a National Examination Body for accrediting non-formal courses in this domain.
