Hyderabad, 30 June (H.S.): Nikhat Zareen advanced to the semifinals of the 51kg division after a convincing 5:0 victory over Kalpana at the Elite Women’s Boxing Tournament. Former youth world champion Ankushita Boro also progressed, winning 5:0 against Parthvi in the 65kg category.

Preeti (54kg), Jyoti (51kg), and Devika Ghorpade (51kg) secured their semifinal spots with unanimous victories. V Lakshaya (51kg) impressed with a 5:0 win over Laxmi Devi, while Tanu (54kg), Shashi (65kg), and Yashi Sharma (65kg) moved forward after solid performances. Gitimoni Gogoi advanced via RSC in 70kg, and Babirojsana Chanu achieved a stoppage win in the second round. Semifinals are scheduled for Monday.
