Delhi, 17 October (H.S.): Nissan Motor India has announced a significant update for its popular compact SUV, the Magnite, ahead of the Diwali festive season. The company has now extended its factory-certified CNG retrofitting program to the automatic (EZ-Shift) variant of the vehicle, a facility previously available only for the manual transmission models. This expansion comes in response to strong customer demand.

In a statement released on Friday, Nissan Motor India also confirmed a price reduction for its CNG retrofitting kit, following the GST Council’s recent decision to lower the Goods and Services Tax (GST) rate from 28% to 18%. The kit is now priced at ₹71,999, with the new pricing effective from September 22 across all authorized Nissan CNG retrofitting centers in India. The company emphasized that this price has not been increased despite the upgrades.

The move to offer a government-certified CNG option for the new Nissan Magnite BR10 EZ-Shift (AMT) follows the successful reception of the program for the manual variant. Nissan stated that this initiative is another milestone in its commitment to providing smooth, efficient, and customer-centric mobility solutions.

A key engineering enhancement is the introduction of an integrated fueling system. The CNG filling valve has been moved from the engine compartment and integrated with the existing fuel filling lid. This design change offers customers greater convenience, faster refueling, and improved ergonomics. The CNG-retrofitted Nissan Magnite will come with a warranty of 3 years or 1,00,000 kilometers. The CNG kits are currently available through authorized centers across 13 states in India.
