Delhi, 18 May (H.S.): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led central government has initiated an international campaign to highlight Pakistan’s involvement in terrorism, deploying seven multi-party delegations featuring 51 political leaders to over 30 nations. This diplomatic effort, termed Operation Sindoor, aims to reaffirm India’s zero-tolerance policy against terrorism, especially following the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, 2025, and subsequent military responses on May 7.

The delegations, announced by Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, represent a united Indian front against terrorism. He emphasized the mission’s collective resolve with the slogan One mission. One message. One Bharat.

The seven groups, each led by prominent parliamentarians, include a mix of representatives from both the ruling and opposition parties.

Group 1, under BJP MP Baijayant Panda, is set to visit Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Algeria, featuring MPs from the BJP and other parties, alongside former diplomats.

Group 2, led by Ravi Shankar Prasad, will go to the UK, France, and Germany, including BJP MPs and opposition figures like Priyanka Chaturvedi.

Group 3, led by Janata Dal (United) member Sanjay Kumar Jha, targets Indonesia, Malaysia, and Japan, incorporating diverse political affiliations.

Group 4, under Shiv Sena MP Eknath Shinde, will tour UAE and Liberia with members from various parties.

Groups 5 through 7 involve visits to the United States, Russia, and South Africa, showcasing cross-party cooperation, including notable leaders like Shashi Tharoor and Kanimozhi Karunanidhi. Each group aims to strengthen India’s anti-terror stance through international dialogue.
