Operation Sindoor: Athawale states India declined proposal for third-party intervention

New Delhi, 14 May (H.S.): Union Minister Ramdas Athawale stated on Wednesday that US President Donald Trump had offered to mediate in the military dispute between India and Pakistan; however, New Delhi completely dismissed any involvement from a third party.

During a press conference, the president of the Republican Party of India fluctuated between commending the opposition for supporting the government amid the standoff and condemning them for making the issue of the two neighboring countries reaching an agreement to cease all military activities a political matter.

The opposition should remain united with the government and refrain from challenging its position, he stated.
