Lucknow,
17 April (HS): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath targeted the opposition and said
that their silence on the incidents of Murshidabad and Bangladesh has exposed
them at the crossroads. The Chief Minister accused the previous governments of
promoting corruption, casteism and mafiaism in the state. He said that those
who built hotels in London by committing scams in schemes are the same people
responsible for looting the state and dividing it on caste lines.
Referring
to the Murshidabad incident in a program organized by a media group here on
Thursday, Chief Minister Yogi took a dig at the opposition’s silence. The Chief
Minister said that these people, who built their empire through corruption,
casteism, mafiaism and nepotism, are now silent on matters like Murshidabad.
Their silence on the incidents in Bangladesh has exposed them at the
crossroads.
The
condition of Murshidabad today was once the condition of cities of UP: Chief
Minister Yogi said that his government has made UP riot and mafia free.
Earlier, mafia used to control the entire system in every district, used to
take contracts, cause riots and harass women and businessmen. People used to be
suspicious on festivals. Now festivals are celebrated peacefully and with
grandeur in UP. He said that the condition of Murshidabad today was the same as
that of cities like Muzaffarnagar, Bareilly, Aligarh and Lucknow in UP. The
Chief Minister described the eradication of a deadly disease like encephalitis
in eastern UP as a major achievement of his government. He said that 50,000 children
died due to this disease in 40 years. Most of these children belonged to the
minority community, but no leader shed tears. He said that the opposition never
paid attention to encephalitis disease, because children are not vote bank. The
Chief Minister said that earlier there used to be one mafia in one district,
today there is one medical college in one district and the health services of
the state have improved.
Hotels
built in London by looting money from schemes: Giving the example of Purvanchal
Expressway, Chief Minister Yogi said that its foundation stone was laid in 2016
without any preparation. At that time, this project worth Rs 15,200 crore was
full of irregularities. The Chief Minister said that his government cancelled
it and redesigned the project and completed the entire project in just Rs
11,800 crore, which stopped the loot of public money. Yogi said that this is
the same money which is looted to build their hotels in England.
Those
who curse Shivaji and Maharana Pratap sing the praises of Aurangzeb and Jinnah
The
Chief Minister accused the opposition of insulting great men like Shivaji,
Maharana Pratap and Rana Sanga and glorifying national destroyers like
Aurangzeb, Babar and Jinnah. He said that the opposition people do propaganda
for vote bank and spread hatred in the society. It is very important for us to
respect national heroes for a prosperous UP, developed and self-reliant India.
One of the resolutions of the Prime Minister’s Panchpran is also that we have
to respect national heroes.
UP’s
infrastructure is the best in the country: Chief Minister Yogi described UP’s
infrastructure as the best in the country, which includes highways,
expressways, railways, and metro. He said that before the year 2017, UP’s GSDP
was 12.75 lakh crores, which is now reaching 30 lakh crores. Per capita income
has also increased from Rs 46,000 to more than Rs 1.10 lakh; soon it will reach
Rs 1.25 lakh. Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh, Advisor Avnish Awasthi and senior
