Delhi, 7 March (H.S.): HS Prannoy and Kidambi Srikanth were eliminated from the Orleans Masters 2025 badminton tournament in France on Thursday. World No. 30 Prannoy faced 14th-ranked Lin Chun-yi, with the first game tied at 18-18. Lin ultimately won 21-18, 21-9. Meanwhile, former world No. 1 Srikanth, ranked 45th, lost to Malaysia’s top seed and world No. 7 Lee Zii Jia in straight games. Despite a strong effort and saving nine match points in the second game, he succumbed to a 21-11, 21-17 defeat, concluding his campaign in just 30 minutes.

Ayush Shetty beat Hong Kong China’s Jason Gunawan, ranked 38th, 21-17, 21-17 to keep India’s challenge at the Orleans Masters alive.

India’s mixed double pair of Rohan Kapoor and Ruthvika Gadde exited the Super 300 tournament due to a walkover, while Pruthvi Krishnamurthy Roy and Sai Pratheek K lost to Lee Jhe-huei and Yang Po-Hsuan(21-16, 21-13).
