Padma award winners paid tribute at the National War Memorial

New Delhi, April 29 (HS): The 71 Padma award winners of the year 2025 offered their tributes at the National War Memorial on Tuesday. The distinguished Padma award winners of 2025, who were on a guided tour of the memorial, were astonished by the valorous stories of the brave depicted in murals of battles at the memorial. They also appreciated the grandeur and conceptual design of the memorial.

It is noteworthy that President Droupadi Murmu presented four Padma Vibhushan, ten Padma Bhushan, and fifty-seven Padma Shri awards for the year 2025 at the Civil Investiture Ceremony-I held at the Republic Hall of the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday. Among them were prominent figures such as the late former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Sushil Kumar Modi, singer Pankaj Udhas, former head of Suzuki Motor, Osamu Suzuki, and Shekhar Kapur. This year, 139 individuals were selected for the Padma awards, with the first phase honoring 71 distinguished individuals.
